Skye gives some helpful summaries about Beauvoir’s philosophical theory; existentialism, which is good if you’re looking to understand it from a simplified point. Honestly that’s the only good I got out of this book, Skye makes claims and rarely addresses evidence, some of which are extremely problematic, that insinuate white women are inherently privileged. I would encourage Skye to travel around the world, visit different countries, to see if she would still hold that belief. Overall, I don’t recommend reading this book as Skye writes from an ignorant perspective that masks itself as educational and nuanced; when it is the opposite: ‘politically correct’ and uninformed.
