(Spoilers alert) It's challenging to translate manga/anime into a live-action but I think this is one of the better attempts. The characters Monkey D. Luffy Inaki Godoy is a really good choice for Luffy. His lanky form reminds me of what Luffy originally looked like at the beginning of One Piece. I can see people disliking his performance but as he continues he'll figure it out. Roronoa Zoro Mackenyu looks the part but his personality needs some work. Mackenyu throughout the whole show: 🗿. My guy thought he was playing Sasuke. Nonetheless, still an excellent performance. Your stocks are looking good now so I'd be willing to invest. Cat Burglar Nami Emily Rudd aka Wifey did a great job, She looks the part, and she's good. Wifey at some points throughout the movie is very dislikable which is a good thing and makes her feel more real. CAPtain Usopp Jacob Gibson looks like Usopp and I think did the best in terms of performance. Black Leg Simpji Originally, I disliked Taz Skylar being cast. I felt that he wasn't going to be a good Sanji. Boy was I wrong. He was terrific and was almost my favorite character. However, the way he called out his attack names was awful. I speak French, and I was double-cringing. The pronunciation was bad and the way he would yell them hurt me more. Homie thought he was Bruce Lee with that yelling. Shanks, Koby, and Mihawk did some phenomenal acting. Arlong was good too, but he and the other fishmen's designs were so bad that I might bleach my eyes, and I'm already partially blind. Garp was okay, but at times, he was just too much. Story The overall story was good, but the pacing moved really quickly at the beginning. I understand that there is a budget and some things need to be cut but Hachi is an important character who was cut. Down D. Stairs didn't even get a mention and Michael Jackson was missing, literally, the best part of Syrup Village was m.i.a. Don Krieg didn't fight Luffy which sucked. Overall it was a lot of fun. This was a great attempt at making an accurate One Piece Live Action. I hope more budget will be used so that CGI can be used so we don't have to stare at those fishmen designs. Can't wait for season 2
