The book was an eye opener in many senses. It shows how much the Modi govt brutalized the Indian democracy. It explains the exploitation of the Dalits and adivasis and grabbing of adivadi land by big corporates. It lays bare how the Pegasus software were used by the Indian govt to implicate political activists and human rights activists. It shows how the poor displaced adivasis being branded as naxals,, activists as urban naxals. A must read by all those interested in preserving the Indian democracy.

Reading it. It depicts the life of malayalees in the last century. A lot of parallels with many other families in Kerala. But the author has also stated many biases like the story of St Thomas which was concoted in the 15th century. No proof or evidence. About the Syrian Christians being converted namboothiris another false story. Namboothiris arrived in the 6th century. So a lot of falsehoods and a biased author. It is over hyped. Found it boring.
