TLDR: oversimplified, poorly writen, soundtrack tries to cover for bad writeing, but good Quality fotage, with CGI assistance. Oversimplified to the extreme, the writeing is terible, and shows a clear lack of basic research into the war, makeing it sound like an American high school asignment on the war. It's just a spectacle of bombastic music, and some honestly quite nice clips. just in the first episode alone they allready skipped, the Soviet union invadeing poland aswell, and Operation Wesserübung also known as the invasion of Denmark and Norway, where Germany lost one of it's brand new capital ships, and had to fight a hard fight in the Norwegian fjords and mountains, not to mention the sinking of the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious, by Scharnhorst Scoring the krippeling hit in just her third salvo at a range of 28000 Yards (15.9 miles, 25.6 km), one of the longest ever recorded naval gunnery hits. Instead they decided to make it sound like nothing happened for 8 months, and then all of a sudden both sides woke up. What a missed oportunity
