I am not gonna lie. This show hot me through some tough times. Some times in life you need something that isn't going to challenge you or make you uncomfortable.
I will say, the show's central conceit that a lawyer who commits a white collar crime (steals money or helps steal money) is somehow punished by being put in a position of extraordinary trust and care over vulnerable children is strange. I mean, this guy showed that he has no regard for the law, so let's put him in charge of kids! As a punishment!
That's our values now. "He can't be trusted with insider trading so we will show him! Give him the orphans!"
Anyway.. decent enough writing and performances. Passable viewng.
