i know many of you may not agree but from mypoint of view it is one the best made movie ever, i heard many peaple speak about swades to be his finest movie but i will request to think on the fact that actually swades kind of portrayel maybe unique in his filmography but can be seen by many other actors but Dil se cannot be portrayed by any other actors like him I think. For me Dil se is very special, it takes you to a journey of seven stages of love and actually that is so deep that if you will try to see the philosophical side then it resonates with bhagwat Geeta knowledge of travel from Gyan yoga to bhakti you to karm yog similaraly you see here seven stages dealing with same kind of moksha attainment. Now that was the philosophy of the movie now talking about the execution, it worked for me. ofcourse any movie cannot be perfect in their execution but here the team was so well like ofcourse music and performances were key and I will talk about them later but the execution of the plot like attraction in train scene, infatuation in scenes after successive meets and then Ishq in Ladakh scene and later the ibadat, joonan and death.the direction was different from most of his other films, like you cannot find any other character like amar in his other movies.the cinematography was unbelievable like this department is most underrated of the film, all the songs, the Ladakh scene the last scene of srk running, the cheora graphy of the songs by Farah khan shows that their must be contribution of Gulzar raan and ratnam, that was really great specially in chhaiya chhaiya and satrangi re. Now two most important aspects of the film music and performances. Firstly music I think best of ar rahman, the background score, ae ajnabi was highlight for me showing the worship stage of love. The background score at most of the part.the singers were accurate like sukhwinder singh for chhaiya chhaiya is best option. Now the best for me is performances, Manisha was like totally fit in the character,once she said in a interview that she was not playing a typical terrorist character but like good person converting into a terrorist. And specially in the first half she was so good, like one can know why amar was falling for her. Her quite expressions, something like hiding pain inside her.and SRK, this was the movie for which he was made like that's enough for him, everything which makes him special as an actor was to do in this movie. He was the protagonist, he was the one who has to show what's happening in those seven stages. And I think he was the best there and that's why he is my favourite only because of this film. Some best scenes were when he realises about meghna disappearance in the dessert scene, the radio scene, the climax scene and overall also. Rest do the supporting cast was also great like this also shows the vision of ratnam for this movie, cause it came in 1998 and at that time you will not see such powerhouse supporting cast at that time like every one was great specially Amar media partner that Shukla ji and meghna terrorist female friend sorry I am forgetting their names. The movie was great, my personal fav, a 4.5 by my side.
