I loved Red Queen a lot, so I read Glass Sword. It didn't deserve a five star rating because of the slow plot. The slow plot just had me dragging through the pages really slowly. Also, this book has 70 more pages than the first book, so it took a bit longer to read. The action starts again at about page 200, so the novel began to get a lot more easier to flip. In the end, *SPOILER* Mare trades herself to Maven just to save Cal, Kilorn, Farley, and the other newbloods. overall, it's a good book.

It's one of the best books I've ever read. There's so much action and betrayal, with a little bit of romance swirled into it. It's a fantasy story. I normally hate fantasies, but this book has encouraged me to read more high fantasy books. I'm now reading War Storm, and I can't wait to see the final conclusion of the Red Queen Series.
