I loved Red Queen a lot, so I read Glass Sword. It didn't deserve a five star rating because of the slow plot.
The slow plot just had me dragging through the pages really slowly. Also, this book has 70 more pages than the first book, so it took a bit longer to read. The action starts again at about page 200, so the novel began to get a lot more easier to flip.
In the end, *SPOILER* Mare trades herself to Maven just to save Cal, Kilorn, Farley, and the other newbloods.
overall, it's a good book.
