Really like nothing I have ever read. Sally Diamond is a complex character, who has been isolated her in her life. Now 43 years old, and after the death of her beloved father and her unusual way of seeing him off, we, along with her, learn the details of her early life. Sally’s story is sad, traumatic, and disturbing but also compelling. The revelations change her life in so many ways, some positively and some negatively, and ultimately demonstrate what a strong and courageous woman she really is. I could not put this book down.
