It certainly helps to know Something about Nepoleon in advance of the movie. It appears a bit rushed even at 2hrs+ to tell the story in a meaningful way. Battles are great but fail to explain the genius of how they were directed. Cast is excellent, movie is good but not great it just plots along not showing what drove Nepoleon, other than his misguided devotion to Josephine.
