Dripping with WWII atmosphere, this drama encapsulates the polarities of war: espionage and friendship, love and murder, honor and disgrace. Great performances all around. John Benjamin Hickey's performance a throwback and so grounded it is part of the dirt and sweat and screen doors that make up the mise en scene. Underappreciated and worth every minute.
