Just watched a third time. I'm so impressed by almost every character's story arc--everyone grows, from Ted to Beard, Keeley to Roy, the lads at the bar Mae, to Nathan to Rebecca. Speaking of which, I can't take my eyes off Rebecca. Not just that she's statuesque and beautiful to look at; her character development and the emotional trauma she goes through is writ large on the actress's entire body. I'm so impressed by this lady--the actress AND the character. (OK I might have a girl crush on her also.) The entire story is told so beautifully and truthfully. And also, I want to go to that pub and have a pint and walk around. Damn, makes me want to go see a football match (and I do t mean American football). And did I hear that there's going to be a fourth season, with a women's team? I will be there. Congrats to the entire group of creatives who made this show?

Demi Moore was UNBELIEVABLE in this but I agree with some of the reviews: certain scenes go on way too long.

Takes this show as it is: a series with the same characters and similar situations as the book but something wholly different. I adored the book and actually liked this production. The actors were superb, the writing was excellent, the music very fun, and I don't know enough about directing to comment on that. It's an adaptation of a Tom Wolfe novel. I kept my expectations at a medium/high and they were met.

How can you not be inspired? That said, more regular, non-pro athletes in the film would’ve been useful. But honestly, this may be the impetus I’ve been waiting for to finally go plant-based and stop killing defenseless animals.
