IL Mare is a nice movie and the original version and I did like it but I have to say the American remake version The Lake House improved it quite a lot. IL Mare although sweet is much slower paced and I did get a tiny bit bored from time to time. The Lake House moved at a better pace with more to who the characters were and gives you more in their relationship with family and other romance - better interactions. The ending is also not as good as Lake House. Spoiler: in this version her reaction in the coffee shop when the lead actor (before she knew who he was) was hit by a car was no reaction at all. She did not look shocked or horrified. Although he was a stranger she just sat there with a look on her face as if she was just watching it rain out side. I blame the director for that not the actress. Her reaction when trying to save his life was good though. I did not care for the ending in this version and I like how in the Lake House version, he met her face to face when she knew who he was and already cared for him. If I were her in the IL Mare version I would not have trusted him and thought he was nuts, so I'm glad Hollywood improved the ending. I give this 4 stars and Lake House 5 stars.

Love this movie and it is better IMO than the original S Korean version called IL Mare. The Korean version is sweet and I did like it, but just not as much. This version is at a better pace and expands on the lives and personalities of both lead characters. His life with his father and brother and her own relationship. The ending in this version is better IMO and made more sense as to when they would finally meet face to face. I did not like the IL Mare ending at all in comparison. I would recommend that you watch IL Mare first because if you watch Lake House first as I did you might be a little disappointed in the other even though that one is the original version. Lake House improved the story line. Sandra and Keanu have the best chemistry and loved them together in the movie Speed. 5 Stars for this version. 4 Stars for IL Mare.

Very very disappointing drama. I don't care what LMH's hard core fans feel, his acting is terrible as is the writing. The drama is so boring that I fell asleep during the 3 and 4th episodes and my daughter said I didn't miss much. I never thought LMH was a good actor and just average at best, but his acting in this drama is just so bad. The writing is all over the place and no chemistry between any of the characters, not even between the leads. No friendship chemistry at all between LMH and Do-Hwan. Sorry, but I have to say what I truly think. However, on the bright side Woo Do-hwan is the only one that is showing good acting skill. He should have picked a better drama to be in.
