Matt Daemon can't act like a bad guy, but he's ok. Better than The Martian. Good cast raises it. Enjoyed the effects. Well made film, great story , new ideas, which carries it.

So there's a bunxh of aliens hiding out on earth, a pumchy one, a zappy one, a slashy one, a dissappearing one et al. They live for ages but not allowed to get involved with humans. They fight cgi monsters. Apart from Angelina Jolies lips, not a lot to highlight.

Didn't really capture the essence of the original. The songs were far to complicated and instantly forgettable. I can still remember the original songs after 45 years. The cartoons were also far too frenetic. Obviously technically superb.
