The series has promise. I like the director's choices, the pace of the story works, but the dialogue is not compelling enough. And a lawyer doing drugs with a functionally addicted mother and said lawyer is somehow morphed into the hero figure for the female lead? - It's a stretch for which I can't reach. The audience already has to acquiesce to the implausible connection between the two main characters. It helps to support the story if the subplots are grounded. I really love the concept. It's gold! But poor dialogue and superficial subplot execution ruined a great idea. I had to bone out In the middle of the first season. But hey, the series now has three seasons now. Kudos to you all. Somebody's watching.
