While I am enjoying the game, the graphics and the routine of a good old SoS game, u can't help but feel that other games in this genre are just doing this formula better. My Time at Portia, Stardew just to name a couple. SoS Pioneers of Olive Town perhaps suffers from its greatest strength... Its insistence on following the same old tried and true formula. Also lack of character portraits is a huge let-down.

A fantastic cure to your D&D itch. Engaging story, customizable character, fantastic world to lose yourself in. A lot of work has gone into this game. If you can look past the absolutely cruel "random" dice rolls, and the jarring character animation, you'll absolutely love this game. It's easy to lose yourself in Solasta. Recommend for any fan of D&D
