The first episode was going well until the pirate scene. Based on accent, showing Somali pirate tactics in the Pacific Ocean without saying it was in the past was just ridiculous. Plus, saying the ship was a day and a half out of Barcelona and showed the ship in the Pacific extremely poor writing.
