I read this book previously and it was roughly 40 years ago. It's difficult for me to select one of King's books and proclaim it's his greatest work because he's written so many immensely entertaining and satisfying stories. The Stand resonates more now considering what we all just went through recently with the pandemic. I was also very happy to discover what I just purchased is the extended version that offers many more pages than the book I read 40 years ago. If you have not read the Stand, pick up a copy and discover for yourself how great this story truly is.
