The acting transcends any weaknesses in stereotypes and predictability. Sylvester Stallone shines in this role and the writing overall is very good. The show has the potential to be a classic if they can maintain the quality of the writing and not play to the cheap seats by becoming formulaic.

It explores the darker side of Tokyo life in an understated way managing to be both moving and funny. A great cast of characters and an inadvertent vehicle for Japanese cuisine
