With Donda, Ye has put out yet another classic masterpiece. From the production, to the lyrics, to the absolutely perfect features, this album has cemented it's position as one of the best albums of the 2020's. While paying tirbute to his mother, god and faith, Ye manages to both emotionally and physically engage the listener. The monolouges from Donda West herself make it even better. The increrible mix of Trap, Rap, Melodic Hip-Hop and RnB is a marble of it's own. This album has a song for every mood, every taste and every personality. Mixing a mostly dark and grimey with a cheerful and uplifting touch, and most importantly the message this album is trying to send to all listeners. Hope. Never loose it. There are absolutely no skips, maybe 1 at most. The duration of this album is also a pleasent suprise, as his previous 3 projects very short. Almost every single song in this album can be considered a classic, but those who stand out most (at least to me) are: Jail, Moon, Off The Grid. Praise God, Hurricane, Pure Souls and Heaven and Hell. Kany'es vocals and performance where some of the best since TLOP, and the plethora of features from highly talented and respected artists like Travis Scott, Baby Keem, Playboi Carti, Young Thug and The Weeknd made it even better. The production, like always, is absolutely unmatched and on a level that's never been replicated in music history, but only by himself. I would put 6/5 if I could.
