"O captain, my captain." The Dead Poets Society is a remarkable film that shows how education can go beyond what is taught in textbooks. The movie depicts education as a way to enlighten children about the realities of life and how they shouldn’t look at things with a singular perspective. This type of teaching style is used to make what kids are learning in school also relevant their personal lives. It tries to show that education is not just for understanding concepts for tests but also understanding the real world. I believe this type of teaching style was not just contextual but it was to show the enormous impact education can make on kids in general.On the contrary Mr. Robin Williams stand in made the drama more down to earth.
