Loved Te original (and by far still the best) Planet of The Apes starring Charlton Heston, who is perfectly cast. It’s a futuristic movie with a difference where the apes rule the earth and the daring “theory” espoused by The (ape) scientist Cornelius that he believes that Apes have evolved from Humans. Despite not having the funding to include all the special effects the original producers/directors had apparently planned and hoped for was more than made up for by the script and acting. The multitude of sequels made for the big screen along with at least a couple of “made for tv series”, nothing in “The Planet of The Apes Franchise to the original movie.
