The acting was superb but the casting of some of the supporting actors spoiled it for me. Unlike many TV dramas, it was very true to life and you very quickly got to hate the smarmy husband of Dr. Foster who fed her lie after lie in an effort to cover up his affair, At first, we believed him but later found out what a devious rat he was, It was the reality of the perfect marriage that went horribly wrong that reminded us of real-life people who we knew who went through similar and suffered badly, including ourselves, that got to us. Ultimately it became hard to watch, because of the acting skills of the lead characters. The boy in it loses trust in both his parent's and suffers badly as many children do when their parent's fall out of love and cheat on each other, Glad we saw it, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone in an unstable relationship.

Not your average TV detective show. The concept, to say the least, is rather far fetched but nevertheless enjoyable to watch. I loved the DCI with all his various comments like when he spoke to a criminal wearing dark glasses ''can I get your guide dog a bowl of water''. I found the final episode a bit hard to fathom out, but never mind viewers are not supposed to be too critical about this sort of drama, it is what it is. All the characters are good and the acting is very good. Worth a watch, I think.

It has taken us a nearly year to watch every episode of Gunsmoke which we loved for the most part but towards the end James Arness was hardly in it, which was very disappointing. Another thing was the way Chester and Miss Kitty just left the cast without any explanation. They could have written them out but for some reason chose not to. I was only a boy when I first watched Matt Dillon and here I am at 75 and still enjoying this wonderful series.
