One of the most low effort Pokemon games ever released, somehow with the highest price tag. As a long time fan and player all I can feel is insulted. People are saying the battle system is revolutionary- but there’s nothing fun or exciting about a system that rewards you with zero consequence. Strategy goes out the window, and the game becomes about button mashing every attack. But don’t worry because if you overdo it the fainted Pokemon still stick around; and all of the balls you missed throwing at the Pokemon get returned to you. In theory that sounds okay, but when you slow down you realize- why am I even playing if the game just holds my hand the entire way? The lack of any kind of real emotion, voice acting, and interactive environment features leave this game feeling so incredibly bare. The people and Pokemon that are in the game are just complete statues, with no life in them at all. This is by and large the worst Pokemon game to date when compared to previous games- and what those games had available at the time of being made.
