An absolute chore to play. Some people like to feel self-important and prattle on about the "artistic meaning" behind this game, and certainly the story is something unlike anything I have ever seen, but the meat of the game, the actual gameplay, is by far the least fun experience I have ever payed 60 dollars to have. It is the least fun parts of every open world game, the slow, unexciting, tedious walking. The only difference is, in Death Stranding, that tedious walking IS the gameplay. I would highly recommend watching a playthrough of this game and skipping past the tedious walking, the story, visuals, and atmosphere are masterful, the but actual game ends up being a tedious hellscape of walking just hoping to get to the next cinematic. Spout all you want about how "artistic" this game is; It is completely unfun to play.
