Watch this to learn how broken our FBI and PD system is. This makes you feel like you live in a communist country and that America is still not safe for women when law enforcement treats victims of rape and abduction with preconceived bias based on characters from Hollywood movies. The movie itself was great since it was full of facts highlighting serious bias, systemic flaws and unqualified officials who apparently won awards. Jokes! The police department still has some staff worthy of respect and credibility, hence it made this documentary possible. We live in a day when victims of sexual assault are prosecuted. Although this one had a good ending, it was just depressing to see the twists and turns it took.

To all those who complain about the show: you're not really complaining about the quality of the script or direction or plots or the great performance of these self-made actors but rather about the fact that these four friends are living a life, which acc. to your beliefs is a fantasy. Well at-least respect yourself enough to be free in your fantasies LOL I personally have lived through most plots, whether they were with regards to friends, partners or coworkers. All of those situations do happen in real life. You're just not living enough I suppose :P I have to say that season 1 really takes off after episode 2. I started watching it last year but gave up after episode 1. It took a year and covid-19 for me to give this show a second chance. I started watching episode 2 and thought it was okay. But after watching episode 3, I got into it and from ep. 4, I was hooked! So yes it had a slow pick up for 2 episodes in a row. I think that's where this show lost most of their viewers early on. Well Covid-19 taught me that maybe i should watch at least 3 episodes of a season to decide to love it or leave it. In a way, I'm glad I just watched it last week because the anticipation for Season 2 would have killed me! Like a drug addict, I watched Season 2 as soon as it came out. I couldn't wait to see the adventures these four friends take on. Did not disappoint me at all. I loved it! Now I have to wait patiently for Season 3...

It's been a while since I enjoyed a drama/romance movie. It's either Marvel or some superhero movies that usually compels me to go to a theater. But this movie pleasantly surprised me. The story, acting, direction and humor was right on point. I'm in love with Awkwafina, a star I wasn't even aware of prior to watching this movie. Loved it! Time and money well spent :) I find it funny how some of the people who disliked the movie hated the fact that it was just super crazy wealth being showcased and how it's an asian "fantasy". To them I ask, do you not understand English? The name of the movie is Crazy Rich Asians so leave your colonial asian ideas at home. That's like watching Spiderman movie with the expectation to see Batman. You can't rant about how the movie disappointed you because Batman didn't show up because clearly that proves that the problem is you!

If you have more brains than testosterones, you will enjoy Dark Phoenix way more than the loosely plotted movie Avengers! I am both a marvel as well as xmen fan so no bias here. I just wanted to watch a good movie with a strong storyline and carefully thought out action scenes. Dark phoenix's storyline was very engaging and had interesting twists that actually made sense. All in all a very well scripted and directed movie with great actors (especially Jean) that had me in tears at various points. 8/10 🙂

I usually don't write reviews on movies but this one compelled me to. It's a must watch! Once in a while, you come across movies that draw you in, move you, break your soul only to heal it and teach you important life lessons along the way. This is one of them! --- read at ur own risk -- Hats off to the real character for displaying such strength of love and compassion for her children. I'm not a mother and yet here I was, raging within, at the scene of an infant being separated from her mother so ruthlessly. I can't even imagine how a real mother must have suffered. To be failed by one of the strongest and richest government systems in the world, to be failed by the organizations that disguise to help you, to be failed by a husband who vowed to love and honor you, it was heart breaking to watch the protagonist go through it all. Money is necessary but any child will happily choose the loving embrace of their parent over money. But as adults we tend to forget how children truly feel. This movie is a reminder to that purity, that sacred bond, that no amount of man made rules can shatter the bond between a mother and her children.
