The show is an upbeat to the old Adam 12 type show, with this one being much more interesting. I like the way that it follows the everyday officer with of course the Hollywood action boost. If it were made exactly like the daily duty of an officer there more than likely wouldn’t be more than one or two calls outside of a traffic stop or report to be taken. Most of the time it is very dull and boring. However with that said when it breaks loose it is very hectic and chaotic until order can be established. This show has enough comedy to make it believable with being a comedy and stupid. I like watching the reaction of the officers and the public and it does overdo this a bit. Unlike real life, the public doesn’t have a script dictating how they are suppose to act and very seldom do officer in real life get to meet the public as they appear in these shows as lots of times are the officers in real life are not as articulate as those on the show. But it is enjoyable and the audience leaves the episode feeling good about the episode.
