This is one of the stranger films to emerge from the pandemic era. There’s more than a touch of Anderson preciousness, but the third story, about a student revolt, a la Godard’s La Chinoise, is spot on and very moving. The last story, in which a James Baldwin like character reviews a prison meal, is both poignant and hilarious by turns. The Dispatch is art house fare, and definitely worth seeing.
