I normally avoid Guy’s films, finding them to lean towards crazed male violence. However I enjoyed this and I’ve recommended it to my female friends and family. I was sad that there was no record of the contributions of the Africans or of Mr Heron’s involvement at the end of the film. Maybe it would have helped to have a note from Mr Ritchie at the end of the film to explain why they were not acknowledged by Prime Minister Churchill for their contributions to ending the war??
