It’s not a finished game. It’s buggy, messy, ugly, and half-baked. The lighting flickers constantly. You can “Skyrim” your way up mountains by hopping backwards. Unique animations are few and far between.There are only a handful of trainer models that a recycled throughout the entire game. Textures are muddy and bleak. This game has cut so many corners that it’s become a circle of misery. The dialogue is uninspired. With how much of it is dedicated to sandwiches, it genuinely feels like Paldea is a sandwich surveillance state. I see the $60 price tag as indicative of how far the Pokémon company will go to rip off their fans. The amount of 5 star reviews shows a widespread mix of sunken cost fallacy by fans and astroturfing by reviewers. Don’t buy this game.
