Joby Fluorine

Ricky Gervais surprised both my wife and I with this poignant, sadly funny series. Ricky is always funny, but here he proves he is a real actor, belying what he said on The Office, U.S. He really drew us both in and I felt his pain over his loss, completely forgetting it's just a Netflix series. As a matter of fact, I felt like he was channeling me, with the cynical, misanthropic character that he parodied. I didn't expect it, but we both found ourselves in tears laughing, and sometimes just in tears, over the emotion he evoked from us with this frustratingly short, six episode web series. I know it sounds greedy, but I really want another four seasons of this, even if the story seems finished. Who knows. Maybe Ricky will grace us with another season, to follow up on a romantic interest, and really complete the story.
