Shot before CGI, the armies are tiny and when you’re shot in the stirring battle sequences, you’re dead. Few wounded. Nobody dies of fever nor illness. Water and food are always plentiful.
Aside from theses quibbles it is a show that’s fun to watch. Sharpe is charismatic. Hard to believe he is 66 in 2025!
