Trying to live up to Marvel's Spider-Man was going to be a herculean task and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy failed to step up. -You only get to play as Star-Lord(there are those who want to select a character and play them, I wanted t play Rocket Raccoon more so then Star Lord). -The graphic looks like it was made in the early 2010s and their are several glitches as well(since Cyberpunk I have been very brutal when it comes to that). -The story(does everything in the GOTG have to be Galaxy-level or Universe-level threats? Is the Marvel Universe so fragile that cosmic fart will destroy it?! This has been a problem since GOTG 2(the film) and they need to seriously dial it down. Yes you have to raise the stakes, but if you raise the stakes too high then their is nothing else to do after that(basic story building 101 and that includes video games as well) In closing this game is not worth your money. If you want to spend it get Marvel's Spider-Man, it is a lot better.

The developers must've listened to some of the backlash from the previous games(Man of Medan and Little Hope). It seemed to have worked and also I noticed a few inspiration/references from the films, Alien, Predator and The Descent and also a bit of HP Lovecraft as well. That really shows that they use more then one source of inspiration to make this installment better and I for one liked this one out of the current three. The need to be more interested in the past(that is a key component to the game and why my personal favorite things about it) The characters are top notches(Ashley Tisdale finally shed her Disney image thank Christ) and the fight for survival formed a unit. House of Ashes is the best one out of the Dark Anthology games so far. It is 2nd only to the game that helped kick start it(Until Dawn) but the gap is still very long between them. Personal Note. Just finished the game myself and all characters survived from my run(learned from the past games to be more interested in clues that can help you survive). My Man of Medan count was one dead and my Little Hope count was all survived as well as House of Ashes.
