I really don't know what to make of the Halo series. I don't hate it, but I also don't love it. It's just.... meh. Great visuals to connect it to the Halo universe, but it pretty much stops there. It's a weird storyline that really has no transition from the established universe. This odd formula where studios have feel they have to humanize their protagonists wasn't necessary here, but for some godawful reason, they felt the need to take Master Chief's helmet off for at least ten minutes just so he could connect with another person on an personal level. Spartans don't do this! It dismantles their superhuman god-like perceptions, and cuts their mystery off at the knees. Instant dilution of their aura. An ultimately forgettable series in a few years time if they can't get their storyline, dialogue, and editing above entry-level film-making.
