Let's just start with Jake. Love this actor, but not in this role. Jake phoned in his acting. Threw me the whole movie that he seemed to be the weakest link. And why was he cast as a Persian? Why is the cast mainly white? Casting director did not do their job for this film. Editing was odd. Never allowed me to really enjoy some of the characters. Action? Oh, yes. Plenty of action! Cool effects? Yes, but could have been more with the "sands of time" dagger. I never felt any chemistry between the two leads. The accents were weird. British? Huh? Companions die with very little fanfare. Had all the makings of an epic film, but the pieces just didn't fit right. If you have "nothing" to do for two+hours, give it a go. If you miss it? You'll be fine.
