Funny seeing this show have a 53% on rotten tomatoes from critics. When you look at the reviews it seems like they either stopped watching after the first couple episodes or just can't fathom the actions portrayed by Dahmer in the first half of the series...for those who can't stomach the disturbing scenes of Dahmer's interactions with his victims, I completely understand, but to call this series "torture porn" or "exploitative" is a hugely missed mark. The subject matter is displayed in a way that I wouldn't only say is objective to Dahmer and how he played out his crimes; but it also never glorifies the man and it puts a large focus on the stories and accounts from the victims(especially in the 2nd half of the series). It's very well shot/well acted/well cast and the true subject matter behind why Jeff was able to get away with so many of his crimes is incredibly important and it never feels brushed over or understated. I would highly recommend this to anyone who can stomach through a lot of the very disturbing scenes through the first half of the series because the overall message of the show is what makes it special in my opinion.
