If you are going to watch this, I recommend watching it at home as it’s not worth it to see in theaters. The movie started off well building up tensions, bringing characters together, and having a couple good scares keeping me on the edge. However, there were so many questions unanswered towards the end of the film, and too many comical fill ins for my taste, being a huge pure horror fan. I thought that there were too many plot holes to the main antagonist of the film, and felt like there wasn’t a good point to the story. The title is called “weapons”, but the kidnapped kids legit weren’t even used according to this title until the end. Sure I guess other people under the voodoo spell were, but this whole story was supposed to surround the kids and we barely got anything about them. And what was it about the psychic connections characters in the movie were having about the antagonist? How did this even come about? Why was there only two characters having dreams about this and pursuing to find and help the kids while legit no one else did? A lot made zero sense. Even my theatre was disappointed, no one cheered, and everyone said this movie wasn’t the horror they expected it to be.
