Ron Howard films are very hit and miss, he seems to do best with historical action stories. This falls well short and is a bizarre soap opera, where the setting of Yale is wholly irrelevant yet seems to try and give the film some sort of social justice worthiness. It’s merely another dysfunctional family relationship story that belongs in the made for daytime TV genre.
