So I watched it but....blah. Don't waste your time. Not even Emilia Clarke can save this one.

First half is excellent and does a great job of pulling the viewer in. The second half just gets weird and by episode 7 and 8 it simply loses the plot. The end of episode 8 pulls it together again in a way that leaves the watcher a tad relieved that it's finally over. Watching this show made me feel like I was having a psychedelic experience.

A long, drawn out movie to reach the conclusion. Just enough to hold interest, but on the whole a bit boring. I found the story told from each characters viewpoint did not hold adequate merit to be different enough that it held my attention. The dual only happened in the last 30 minutes but the movie is 2h34min long. Excellent cast so expected better. The attention to detail was fantastic though. The scenery, the clothing, the horses and the castles really gave the observer a strong sense of the times and the struggles. And of course the whole issue of honour which in some ways can be reflected in society today (do we have it? How is it held? Etc. Also the limited medical knowledge was accurate. Overall, in my opinion this was a well researched and well executed film but was too long. (I'm no movie critic.... only sharing my experience).

Russel Hornsby is awful to watch. He is over-dramatic and really annoying. Amelia (played by Arielle Kebbel) is a super actress who carries this show. Worth watching to pass time but not a stand-out show to make time for every week.

This movie has all the good feels without the cheesiness. Emilia Clarke is luminescent....just lovely to watch and Emma Thompson is wonderfully depressed and dramatic.

Unbelievably boring. I do not enjoy Woody Allen movies generally. And Elle Fanning is just so annoying. I quit half way through. Watch if you have nothing else to do....although hunting mosquitoes might actually be preferable.
