4/10 PS4 Reviewer. Look, I get you like the game and it is dazzling. I've played all the hits (PS2,3 & 4) and there are many things I look for in: Quality and performance This game is obviously too big for game consoles, without modifications. Very Glitchy, Constant ERRORS, Get you stuck and Waste your Time. Story and Gameplay Speech functionality glitchy, Characters talk over themselves, Story moves over top its previous version, autosaves make or break you, the games competitive function, (many new gen. games have developed, to seem more challenging by changing strategy/function to throw the player off) amongst several other things get aggressively glitchy and hectic. [Trying to.. run back and forth between your 20 settlements, after a certain point you realize you're doing nothing but killing raiders and trying to 'get stuff done 'round the house, but if you do happen to die, or glitch, or put a piece down and for whatever reason cant pick it back up, find your last auto save] I'd like to note, I'm up-to-date with my software, and I have not had this issue with any game literally cutting off, but it has happened more than a handful of times in Fallout 4. Perks Companions are in your way when you dont need them and nowhere in sight when your over encumbered.. speaking of that, as if enough Wasted Time couldn't be spent in this game, you should have to be forced to move slowly because you must pick up everything and I hope you autosave every 5 minutes or you're going to realize those attempts were all for not. And where IS exactly, the Perk of Not knowing how to do Any Given Thang.. like bare game functions such as picking something up?? It almost seems far out of their way actually, to make a game so free to move, attack, build and then some and Not give you a guide or tutorial. I could go on, but I Can see the enjoyment in it, and I Did have fun building and exploring here and there, but ultimately in the end it felt morely tedious with SEVERAL DOZENS of ISSUES that kept me complaining about it non stop. I'm really tired of people giving 5/5 reviews or even 4/5 * when the truth is every facet of this game needs work and has serious issues that leave the player frustrated and feeling under achieved.

an attempt between Wolfenstein and Resident Evil 4, with a castle monster theme that goes out of it's way to make you die constantly. Even so much as absurdly matched boss fights that have just enough appeal to keep you scratching your face off trying to win. Skill and experience only go so far, the game mechanics cheat you, blatantly. Most big fights end with a bit of a lucky feeling, unfairly so. Video Game developers who aim to make a video game too difficult are like film producers that use cheap pop scares to make hit horrors. I don't suggest this game period, because I don't believe in paying for useless stress let alone wasting your days with it. BUT THEN... I'd also like to clarify, if you look online people are covering up some terrible facts about the games intention towards the player: The gameplay virtually does get harder as you go, the AI can stack aggression against the player, even as they fail. Even in areas of the game you felt completely comfortable, I have noticed, as many others have, Bloodborne has a mechanic of counteracting MORE AGGRESSIVELY proceeding a prior run. Even so much as withholding loots and buffing AI tactics. It has been played off a lot though, many game scripts are designed to do the opposite, as far as making things worse after many attempts, so people are claiming that it's "all an illusion.." Right you are.. I'm just saying these things are meant for entertainment, you could save a lot of headache, stress, TIME and you could have peaked a lot more interest and gotten more popularity if you would have added something as simple as a difficulty meter. Instances and situations that push you into a corner to die are one thing, but having the beast cornered and then flipping the script is a whole other beast, in and of itself.

The likelyhood the Mortal Kombat franchise can dish it out another 20 years always seems to meet the satisfying goal'd standard. Each installment is bigger, edgier - more gruesome and graphic!! They are actually even trying to to make a tangible story structure using the popular Multiverse Theme. 😵😱😭 Good luck, you will not be able to please any of the older fans at this point. The fact that this franchise has made it nearly 3 decades without a noteworthy storyline even in the video game world could only suggest the gameplay is the sweetener. As I've watched them grow and add more and more on top of the sorely convincing pile they had originally manifested of scrapworthy story telling has gotten " way better" thanks to WB. No mentions there... What I find hard to believe is the willingness to push past reasonable lengths to gain popular interest. The graphics are getting too real for all of the constant sick and childish functionalities of the plot and gameplay.. does every other WB featured bad guy have to be in the Game? If you think you are exhausting characters that are supposed to be a part of your story, it's the other way around. To put it short, it doesn't feel as thrilling to watch as it used to be. It just feels off putting now.

Edited Review: This game sucks, sorry it's not even really a game. It's like a story-game designed to help those who have no patience waste their time. 5% of the game is fun, getting chased around by BTs. The other 5% is kinda fun chasing around MULES. The remaining 90% of the game is running up and down similar mountain sides, holding down 4 buttons and praying you dont fall over the littlest rock and increase YOUR stress levels, but game developers want you to care more.. so you have a baby who starts stressing out around the same time you do. Good story but honestly, what were you guys thinking when you made the gameplay???? I'm editing this review because I had the stupid urge to go back to the game, only because I wanted to hear the story again.. but I stopped permanently 2 hours in, after being reminded how awfully punishing and time consuming and not fun the game is. Honest Reviewer. 1 star for the story, 1 star for originality. -3 for being stressful, not fun.

If anyone complains, I say it could have been much worse. For a game taking a Big risk by going in a different direction and succeeding so well is nothing that should be hastily criticized. New moves sets, combos and capabilities, switching gaming functions and camera angle, and also having a companion. Amongst other things making the game astoundingly different from prior games in the series, the stories need for depth gets answered in a whole new line of mythology, while tying it into old ( already made up ) cannon material from the games we knew before. I didn't enjoy the specific content change of mythology, but isn't everyone about the multi dimensions now?? The story really however amounts to a long short, being a long trip up the nearby mountain with a short epic journey that steps out into a different dimension for the moment.. does this conflict with what you thought you knew about Kratos? Possibly, buy the next game and find out.
