Great show due to the amazing team behind its production unlike the last 3 Disney renditions. Faithful to the original universe and the casting was done perfectly. Pedro Pascal does a wonderful job as the Mandalorian and I cant wait for season 3 to be released.

it seemed to end before they got to the main story

I watched the original avatar and the legend of Korra back to back and while the original is one of my favorite shows of all time I have to say that Korra was a bit of a letdown. The only issue I have with the show is the character of Korra herself. As an older and more powerful avatar she seems to make every mistake and bad decision she possibly can and may just be the dumbest avatar the 4 kingdoms have ever seen. I don't have any problems with any of the other characters in the show and truthfully everyone else was played magnificently. But throughout the show, Korra time after time chooses to disregard any reason whatsoever and can't bother to put those closest to her first, without fail she is the only reason that there is any conflict at all in the first place.
