George Watts Wow, you're completely dense. In the last story they are all dead. The whole story is about their transition into the after life. The lighted staircase in the hotel leads up into the after life, call it heaven if you wish. There were so many dam clues and you missed them all. Missed the whole point of the story. Lol!! If you want a mindless climax ending go watch a Marvel movie.
