Then, to top off the insults to the audience that watched the TV show & read the books, Paul Drake is a black cop. Ok, the PC is just too much here. They say F*** too much. Back then, it was not that widely used. The photography is good, costumes, the theme music is great. I really wanted to like it. John Lithgow always delivers. He left too soon. I have loved Lili Taylor ever since Mystic Pizza & 6 ft. Under. She is great as the con Mom. I’ll give it another whirl, if it shows up for another season, to see what they do with the characters.
