Its amazing re-playing it but once you realized all the bugs you missed as a kid it kinda takes away from the experience.

When people say sonic game they think high action intense fast gameplay running through Dr. eggmans robots, this is that except without the speed and the controls are very sloppy and sonic is NOT FAST the thing sonic is known for, the controller on consoles just don't feel responsive at all, there are YouTube videos where they beat the game just by pressing the sprint button, the game is way to easy but way to hard on the bosses for the only reason of the slippery gameplay from sonic and the villain is just a generic edgy bad guy like shadow from the older games. The cutscenes are lacking, they have been replaced with dumb faces and text boxes. This was a huge low for sonic and the characters are treated like soulless animals but when you look at the older games the characters have personality's and traits that make the fans fall in love from the design to their personality but in this game they fall apart with out sonic like he is a god and the character system where you make your own OC (original character) It could have been done better. The level rating system doesn't make sense even if you get a horrible score you can continue to the other levels. The sonic team treated this game like how Disney treats modern Starwars movie from making the main character the main thing taking away from the amazing detail of the side characters. Overall 2/5 would not play again.
