Incredible acting by Oldman. However one must actually have more than a passing knowledge of the players and politics of the 1930s studio system and more specifically the creation of Citizen Kane to fully appreciate the film. Not surprisingly many failed to do so and alas in their deliberate ignorance found the film not up to their
Lowbrow standards.
