Many people are wrongly focusing on the point that Texas and California are allies against the "United States" and distracting themselves from the very timely message. Whether a Red or Blue State, freedom loving people can find a common purpose when an Authoritarian government or President that destroys the Constitution, is a risk to us all.

The feedback from the book readers is similar to what I read on the Dune forums. Those who have not read the book(s) seem to mostly love the TV/Movie treatment, and those who did, mostly don't. I had not heard of the novel, haven't done as much reading as I did when I was young because I'm constantly having to read technical docs for my work as an I.T. engineer. I felt this was an Excellent series. The science was not daunting at all, but I do like science and astronomy. I did have to google to see if a Sophon was a real particle! lol. I usually am not a binge watcher, but only took 2 days to finish. The acting by the cast was excellent. I don't nit pick shows to death, I like to go with the artists vision. And a movie is not a book, they have different pacing and have to make different choices for a visual medium. If I knew better, I'd be a filmmaker, right! But I know what I like and again, this was quite excellent.

Excellent action. Kind of a military John Wick.

Very much had this blade-runner vibe to it for me. Excellent flick, terrific acting.
