Disclaimer, this review is based upon my opinion. For context, I am a big fan of Amish Tripathi so, naturally, I was eagerly waiting for Ayan's brain child to materialize.

Some dirt:
Sometimes, characters tries to be cool but the use of words, I felt dialogues are very weak they just by an inch past cringe.
Tiring bollywood style romance : -10 stars
I felt like Story got away from its concept : -10 stars.
I will like to say that it would be a pure gold if they had focused more on astras reduced love story which sidelines from the epicenter of movie. Over saturated Romantic sub-plot turned out to be the biggest enemy of what could have been a masterpiece..
Entertainment? yes, if you can bear up with old age bollywood style romance to see a masterpiece that is based on Indian mythology. Set your expectations low.
SRK in the beginning, graph goes up and above. Now you are entering Astra verse, you see Ranbir Kapoor playing a character like those he played in Rockstar, Tamasha and YJHD, (Main kuch aur hun), I was able to digest this because of nostalgia and all. Then, love story starts and it keeps going to a point where you forget you are in Astraverse movie. Then they add some cool scenes so you can get through forcefully stretched love story. It continues, comes interval, well planned, you go out, you come back, love story streching continues then, they charge up screen with great Visual scene. For me, love story impacted Shiva but it's runtime in story is not justified, it should have been done a little less, atleast without diverting focus from "Astra verse" that most of the people signed up for.
Mouni Roy, she understood the assignment, she was really good at being pure evil. Naagin experience have really helped her though.🤣🤣. Really loved her part. When her character is present on screen, you will want her character to just be killed. Can't say much about her tattu's but she did a great job.
Alia Bhatt is under utilised, her character is portrayed as just the love interest.
