i watched this movie back in late 2019 but i recently saw it blowing up on social media so i would like to make a review discussing how good of a movie perfect blue is. but i would like to start off by saying that there are sensitive things being shown in this movie. if you are sensitive to rape, stalking, exploitation, and anything along those lines please think about watching this movie before doing so. perfect blue is truly untouchable. if you are not a fan of anime or animation, please still consider watching this. it left me completely confused at the end but after doing some research it helped my understanding of this film. perfect blue dives into the meaning of self identity, obsession, humanity, and even has feminist undertones. if you want a movie that will leave you speechless for days, maybe even weeks, please add this to your list. you can watch this film for free at anime.dao.to.
