Beth Dawson

i am torn. I keep coming back to it, and binging. However, I feel sad watching it. I know it's funny in it's own right, but Sam's so inconsistent and it feels unbelievable. She is crapping all over people one moment, then showing compassion the next. Her character is too extreme. The way she laid into the poor guy she was dating in the parking lot was brutal, then abandoning her mom before the trip. Wow. The show also feels like it is trying so hard to be progressive, bohemian, LA that it feels indulgent and devoid of any moral integrity. The daughters all have their likable moments and so does Sam, but the total lack of guidance and boundaries with her kids is a bummer. I know some will find this opinion unpopular, but there was a missed opportunity here in not taking it to such extremes- which in my opinion would have made it more relatable and realistic.
