Even in a moral pit like the Stasi-run GDR, human beings can still like, respect & sacrifice themselves for one another. I didn't think we still had it in us.One the greatest movies I've ever seen.

This movie is great. The game is worth the candle. A reject, outcast understands that heroic sacrifice for the sake of children is
worth the risk and the effort. Whoever down graded this movie 25 years ago simply does not value substance over form. Substance always wins & Balto is the berries.
