This show is magical! The investment in the development and evolution of the characters was apparent from the pilot. I love series that take you down one path then deliberately tell you you’re wrong! This series forced you to grapple with gray areas, nuance, and generational trauma. This show was a beautiful and tragic display of those themes. It keeps you invested in the plot, fearing the worst and hoping for the growth of the characters, and the viewers are rewarded. It also has some of the best acting I’ve ever see. I like to think of this show as the dramatic version of arrested development. Truly a masterpiece.
